Pueblo will see a high of 80 degrees on Friday, the final warm day before a cold front drives temperatures down by 30 degrees over the weekend.
The front crosses Colorado on Friday, October 23, bringing cloud cover and increased precipitation. Morning lows are in the 50s, with sun breaking through around 10 a.m. along Interstate 25. The afternoon high reaches 80 degrees before the system moves through. A low of 52 degrees follows that night.
Rain chances on Pueblo’s south side range from 10% to 20% on Friday. That probability rises sharply for the weekend. Saturday’s high falls to the 50s. The front also supports thunderstorms farther east and along the southern portion of Interstate 25.
Colorado Springs is forecast to reach 73 degrees with a low of 47. Canon City may see afternoon showers, with rain odds at 20% to 30% and a high of 75. Woodland Park tops out at 58 degrees. Walsenburg and Trinidad reach 73 and 74 degrees, respectively, before weekend highs drop into the 50s.
The eastern plains see thunderstorms return by Friday evening after a sunny start. Afternoon temperatures there range from the 70s to the 80s. Mountain areas stay in the 60s. Lingering moisture and flooding remain concerns in southwestern Colorado, where water levels may take time to recede.
Conditions calm next week, with sunshine and partly cloudy skies. Temperatures gradually warm into the 60s. The preliminary Halloween outlook calls for dry weather and temperatures in the 50s and 60s, though that forecast could change.
