A European buyer must now pay €1,799 for Oppo's new Find X10 Pro Max. That figure places the standard flat-screen smartphone just €200 below the cost of Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, which sells for €1,999 in the region. The price point has sparked immediate debate among consumers and tech analysts regarding the value of high-end hardware in the current market.

Reviewers who have spent several weeks with the device report that it performs well. The phone features a MediaTek processor and strong camera capabilities. Battery life is also a point of praise for the hardware. Despite these positive functional reviews, the sticker price remains the primary concern for many potential customers in Europe.

The high cost is not unique to Oppo. Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra is priced at €1,769, a sum that is very close to the Oppo device. Rumors suggest Xiaomi faces similar pricing pressures for its upcoming European models. Industry observers attribute this trend to rising component costs, specifically memory chips, driven by the demands of the artificial intelligence sector. Some have labeled this surge in expenses as RAMageddon.

Consumer reaction online has been critical. Users on Reddit point out that the Find X10 Pro Max matches the price of the latest iPhone 18 Pro Max. Many commenters note that the previous generation, the Find X9 Ultra, is still available at a lower price. That older model often includes more memory and a larger battery than the new device, making it a more attractive option for budget-conscious shoppers.

The Find X9 Pro is currently available in Europe for roughly €1,000. This is a significant discount compared to the new flagship. The price gap allows buyers to save hundreds of euros while still receiving a high-performance Android phone. The reviewer of the new device agreed that the older models represent a better value proposition for most users.

Some buyers in the United Kingdom have found promotional offers that reduce the final cost of the new phone. However, these deals do not change the base retail price listed for the product. The standard cost remains exceptionally high in a market where prices for top-tier smartphones are already climbing.

Oppo has not lowered the price in response to the initial backlash. The company continues to sell the device at the full €1,799 rate across European markets. Buyers must decide if the new features justify the premium over last year's models.
