The streaming service KPBS+ will launch a new concert film on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 6 p.m. The program centers on the musical catalog of Jimmy Webb, a songwriter who has won three Grammy Awards. The broadcast offers viewers direct access to Webb’s work, including his compositions that have achieved iconic status.
Webb performs his own songs during the special, providing context on their creation and history. Tracks included in the setlist are “Wichita Lineman,” “Highwayman,” “By the Time I Get to Phoenix,” “Galveston,” and “MacArthur Park.” He is joined by several guest artists who contribute vocal performances and commentary. The group includes Vince Gill, Lyle Lovett, Ashley Campbell, Sheléa, and Ryan Shaw. Ashley Campbell is the daughter of the late Glen Campbell.
The production incorporates archival footage to illustrate the career span of the songs. Clips show original artists performing the material, including Glen Campbell, The Fifth Dimension, Richard Harris, and Donna Summer. These segments provide historical context for the compositions featured in the live performance.
Webb is the only artist in history to receive Grammy Awards for music, lyrics, and orchestration. The concert coincides with the release of a new career-spanning album titled “Yours For the Taking: The Found Songs of Jimmy Webb.” This collection features songs that have not been released previously.
The film is available through the KPBS+ application, which is free to use on Roku, smart TVs, and mobile devices. The platform is curated locally by the KPBS programming team for the San Diego area. Users can also watch live streams of four television channels: KPBS, KPBS 2, Create, and KPBS Kids 24/7. A new channel named FNX, or First Nation Experience, is also included in the lineup. Members with a KPBS Passport benefit can log in to access additional content on the app.
The production credits list John Paulson Productions as the primary entity. John Paulson and Karen Sherry Dolan serve as executive producers. Carol Stein and Philip W. Hack are listed as producers. Gary Menotti directed the film. Bill Kabel serves as producer for Great Performances, while Bill O’Donnell is the series producer and David Horn is the executive producer.
Viewers can watch the concert on their schedule via the streaming app. The service is designed for ease of use across various devices. The launch date for the film is Friday, October 30, 2026.
