Los Angeles County is operating 646 vote centers this week, with a special mobile location opening at SoFi Stadium on Sunday.
The stadium will host a voting hub from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Chargers. Residents can walk into the permitted parking area to vote without a game ticket. Drivers need a valid gameday parking pass to reach the site.
Voters at the stadium can use on-site ballot marking devices to cast ballots in person. They can also drop off completed vote-by-mail ballots. The center will handle same-day voter registration for eligible individuals.
Election Day is Tuesday in California. Standard vote centers across the county will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters who are in line by closing time are allowed to cast their ballots. The county also maintains 429 ballot drop boxes for those who prefer to mail in their votes.
California voters are deciding contests for governor and Los Angeles mayor. They are also choosing outcomes for statewide ballot propositions. The deadline to register for this election was October 19, but the state allows same-day registration at vote centers.
The mobile vote center is a joint effort between the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles County. Fans with valid parking passes can access the voting area during operating hours. The arrangement allows residents to vote while attending the football match.
Tuesday is the final day to vote in the general election. Voters can check county resources for specific vote center locations and ID requirements. The 646 centers will remain open throughout the day to accommodate all registered voters.
